Queen Elizabeth II’s cousin jailed for 10 months for sexually assaulting a girl in Scotland citadel, World Information

Bowes-Lyon, who’s the son of a cousin of Queen Elizabeth II, has been jailed for 10 months for sexually assaulting a girl at his ancestral dwelling.

Simon Bowes-Lyon, 34, the Earl of Strathmore, pleaded responsible to attacking a girl at Glamis Fort, in Angus, Scotland, in February final 12 months.

Bowes-Lyon, 34, who’s a primary cousin twice eliminated of the queen, pleaded responsible final month, saying he was “drastically ashamed of my actions which have triggered such misery to a visitor in my dwelling.”

“I didn’t assume I used to be able to behaving the way in which I did however have needed to resist it and take accountability,” he stated.

He was sentenced Tuesday at Dundee Sheriff Court docket.

Glamis Fort, close to Dundee in central Scotland, is the childhood dwelling of the queen’s late mom, who was born Elizabeth Bowes-Lyon.
