The 90s cult traditional ‘Face/Off’ is formally getting a sequel.
In accordance with Deadline, a follow-up to the 1997 John Woo-directed thriller is within the works, with ‘Godzilla vs. Kong’ director Adam Wingard on board. John Travolta and Nicolas Cage starred within the unique motion movie, which follows the story of two enemies who tackle one another’s identities, and faces.
Wingard will write the script with Simon Barrett, whereas Neal Moritz will produce the movie for Paramount. David Permut can even function govt producer.
If Travolta, 66, and Cage, 57, will reprise their roles of FBI agent Sean Archer and terrorist Castor Troy, respectively, or if the components can be recast, nonetheless stays to be seen.
Following information of the Face/Off follow-up, Wingard replied to hypothesis that the movie can be a reboot as a substitute of a sequel in a put up shared on social media. The movie was beforehand teased again in September 2019, Deadline reported, when Oren Uziel was employed to write down the script for the movie. However the outlet added that it’s believed that Wingard and Barrett are beginning anew with the upcoming movie.
