China approves 16 locally-made Covid vaccines for medical trials, World Information
China has permitted as many as 16 indigenous Covid vaccines for medical trials. Of those vaccines, six are within the third stage of trials.
The most recent vaccines for medical trials are primarily based on recombinant protein, adenovirus vector, nucleic acid and attenuated influenza-viruses applied sciences, state-run Xinhua information company reported on Saturday.
China has already given conditional approval to 2 inactivated COVID-19 vaccines made by state-owned builders — Sinopharm and Sinovac Biotech.
As of February 9, China has given 40.52 million COVID-19 jabs to key teams, Xinhua reported, quoting a Nationwide Well being Fee official.
The coronavirus has claimed 4,833 lives, together with 100,727 confirmed circumstances in China.
